Meeting Format
Meeting Procedures
Sergeant-At-Arms announces meeting is about to begin, reminding members to turn off cell phones out of respect for fellow members. Sergeant-At-Arms asks members to please stand and join him in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Hospitality Chair hands guest(s) sign-in card(s) to the President
- President introduces him/her self and begins the meeting on time.
- Mission statement read by a memeber or the President as follows:
“Network Professionals is a select group of highly qualified men and women, one in each
professional category, who bond together for the sole purpose of helping each other
succeed in business by networking through the exchange of qualified business referrals.”
This chapter meets every______________at this location.
- President explains the concept of Network Professionals:
- NPI is a Florida organization with over 20 years of networking experience regionally headquartered in Boca Raton
- We bring together serious minded men and women to develop business relationships and encourage one-on-one meetings between all chapter members.
- Each Chapter meets weekly for one hour and fifteen minutes
- Our primary purpose is to exchange qualified business referrals. (Ask a member
to explain a qualified business referral): A qualified business referral
is a person or company interested in a fellow member’s product or service and will
be expecting his/her telephone call and follow up. The member receiving the referral
should give feed back to the member giving the referral.
- NPI and our chapter are structured, committed, disciplined, organized and very
supportive of each other.
- Vice President introduces the Officers and Committee Chairs, who give Committee reports. Each person stands as they report. *Program Chair will announce the speaker for the following week.
- Introduction of guest(s). Members stand and introduce guest(s). Each guest will have one minute to explain the service or product they represent.
- Pass business cards to the left (Chapters over 20 members may use 3-ring binders for business cards).
- Program Chair introduces the member speaker(s). Each speaker is given 10/20 minutes. Sergeant-At-Arms controls time.
- When you become a member (demonstrate new member kit when guests are present), you will receive a New Member Kit. Please wear name badges when you attend networking events. This will give you an opportunity to talk about Networking Professionals and invite people to be your guest at a meeting. Name badges are presented at Chapter meetings.
- Announcements: Chapter updates, NPI Regional Announcements, community events, Member open houses, etc. President then reminds members to use all networking events as an opportunity to promote NPI and your chapter by inviting potential members to attend as guests.
- Have Mystery Guest (or member) stand and remind everyone of $0.25 fee if they did not shake this persons hand.
- Great Imposter is revealed. When referral bucket is passed, the imposter impersonates the speaker. Then the imposter does his/her own commercial.
- President instructs members and guests that during their commercials, remember to include
- Please be as specific as possible when you are telling the members who can help you this week.

- GIVE REFERRALS
- Pay professional fees
- explain how fellow members can help you this week
- Sergeant-At-Arms starts the bucket/ reads the list of professional fees/ gives commercial/ and passes bucket to his/her left.
- Again, I want to thank our guest(s) for attending and encourage you to join our Chapter and NPI. Please speak with our Membership Chair ___________________, or any Board Member, after the meeting.
- Motivational Thought of the Week (given by next week's speaker)

- President reminds members:
